PATAGONIA TROUT Gear advice: please bear in mind that the fishing area is a mountain weather zone. Thus, the climate is highly variable and you can experience 30° (85° f) during the day, and have a freezing temperature of around 0° (32° f) at night. It is reccomendable to have a warm parka at hand, water proof a plus. Also, rain gear should be at hand. |

Fishing equipment: fishing rods, action seven or eight, with fast sinking lines of 150 to 300 grains, and a floating line. We have to bear in mind that this is a windy zone, sometimes you have to achieve long shots and you cannot get this with smaller gear. Waders should be used at all times. Keeping dry and warm is fundamental to a pleasant fishing trip. You may bring fishing knife, small camera and small flashlight. The following should be included, both light and heavy: jacket and pants, socks (3 pairs), shirts, underwear, coat, pants gloves and bonnet (hat), a good pair of walking boots, and small back pack. We do not advise to break in a new pair of boots. If possible, coat and boots should be waterproof. If you ´ll make a fly camp fish, bring your own sleeping bag. |
