The geographic center of Argentina, North of Patagonia and an area of geographic transition between the Patagonia bush and the green pampas. Santa Rosa is the Provincial capital, and is 600 Km. (375 miles) from Buenos Aires. In the central zone you found woods of a tree call Calden, typical of La Pampa, which grows only there and in surrounding areas. The big game in La Pampa: Red Stag, Russian Boar, Puma (cougar), fallow deer, Black Buck and feral goat. In the rutting season you hunt is done stalking, nad in the rest of the year you wait in a tree top, stall or in a blind, day or night. The latter goes for wild boar. For Feather Hunting you have Partridge, Ducks, Wild Geese, Doves and Hare, Vizcacha (prairie dog like), etc The hunt of the Cougar is banned during 2007 in La Pampa Province. .

The rainfall in the central west zone of La Pampa amounts to 600 mm. per year. From march to may during day time the temperature ranges from 10°C (50 f°) to 28° (82 f°). By night the temperature goes down to 0°C (32 f°).

The Hunt:

La Pampa is one of the two best areas in Argentina for Stag and Wild Boar, in his native forest mainly of calden, a native tree only found in the zone, there the Stag and the Boar found a peaceful place to live and breed.
The rutting season starts in the first days of March and longs till the ends of April that depend the area, climate etc.

Like his north cousin, the Elk (Wapiti), the stag, in this season fallows the does trying to make a harem as big as possible. During the last hours of the day, (in the period of fervour), it is when the red deers begin to roar. He is really unforgettable, in the form that sounds inside of the woods. During the night, is the moment at which they roar with greater intensity.

The Pampas, have a dry climate, and they are always few, the probabilities that rain, during the period of hunting.
The hunt is made in two different ways, in a blind waiting for the stag and stalking in the bush, where normally, you see the Stag close, and many times you have to do a snap shot. For Wild Boar always is in the blind or with trained dogs. That's the different with the other zone (the Patagonia in the foot hills of the Andes) where you see the Stag from one thousands yards away or more, and making the final approach carefully to obtain the trophy.
Five days are enough to obtain a good Stag in La Pampa. You may get too, a Wild Boar. For Cougar (Mountain Lion), you need two o three days more. For the Stag, the season run, from March 15, to May 15, for Wild Boar all year round, and Cougar, January 1 to July 31. We have exclusive areas, to make your hunting trip for Stag, a great and unforgettable adventure.

The Lodge / Rifle Hunting - Victorica

The lodging is in ranch houses with single or double bedrooms and private bathrooms. The meals are first rate; beef, barbecue, chicken, pork, pasta, salads etc., soft drinks beer and wine are free. Whisky, brandy, gin etc. free in normal amounts.
Depending on the requirements of the clients, or other required areas, we make also hunting's with camping.

Typical 7 Days, 6 Nights, 5 Hunt Days packages:

• Day 1: Buenos Aires Airport Reception - Transport to Domestic Airport - Santa Rosa Airport Reception - Transport to the Farm Lodge.
• Day 2 to day 6: Full Breakfast in early morning - Hunt - Lunch in the field or Farm House, (Asado, Barbecue) - The Hunter have the option, to take a nap. - Hunt the afternoon until the sunset - Dinner at Lodge. If the conditions, are good, can also be hunted during the night.
• Day 7: Transport to Santa Rosa Airport - Buenos Aires Airport Reception.

This is an excellent program to combinate whith Entre Ríos Big Game Hunt, or Buenos Aires Feather Hunt.

Depending on the schedules of flight, and desires of the clients, the program can be Shortened, in a day.

The Lodge - Santa Isabel - Bow Hunting, Muzzle loader, Rifle

This lodging, is a simple country house, but with all the necessary comforts for the hunter. Have single or double bedrooms and private bathrooms.
Excellent meals ; beef, barbecue, chicken, pork, pasta, salads etc., soft drinks beer and wine are free. Whisky, brandy, gin etc. free in normal amounts.

Here have wild open areas, and fenced to. The species are: Red Stag or Red Deer, Fallow Deer, Asiatic Buffalo or Water Buffalo, Axis Deer, Black Face Ram, Dorsset Ram, Cougar or Mountain Lion, European Wild Boar, Multi Horn Ram, Wild Goat, Mouflon, Blackbuck. In this local bush, the Archer and Muzzle loader hunter, have the opportunity to a close approach.
